The Waterview Apartment

Just newly renovated in a classic style, combining old and new with all the modern luxuries – so your holiday will not be spoilt with mundane chores!! Quality fabrics, original artwork, complete privacy and everything you need to make your stay in beautiful Hobart a pleasure.

Two large bedrooms, with luxury bed linen one with a huge window looking out on the Derwent – hear the water lapping on the sand while you doze off, at night. We have cot available, plus extra beds for children, if needed. The bedrooms are for the exhausted traveller, or if you need a siesta in the afternoon.

The kitchen is very modern with a fabulous view, with all modern convinces – dishwasher, wall oven, gas cook top and while preparing a meal, your eyes will wander to the yachts and boats on the water. Everything you need is supplied, plus the complementary espresso coffee machine – to awaken you in the morning. Complementary tea/coffee etc are supplied. There are full laundry facilities.

The lounge/dining room is bright and cheerful with sun streaming in through the beautiful French Doors. Antique furniture and modern is again combined, old fireplace and tasteful décor. We have full entertainment for quiet times – books and magazines – cable TV, and CD/DVD player. We have a selection of CD and videos for you to use.

The bathroom is a dream – beautiful views, but private. All newly renovated. We use the best quality towels and toiletries are supplied, if you forgot your shampoo!!

The North facing balcony is really another room, with chairs and table, to eat or have a glass of wine. It is also handy for smokers, as it is non-smoking inside. The changing scenes of the Derwent River, provide never boring vistas and if you have your eye in – you may see a pod of dolphins performing just for you! Overlooking the courtyard, with old roses rambling over the arbour – really you could be in the south of France.

Our mini-bar is available – but the extensive wine cellar will entice the wine buffs! With a good Tasmanian collection, of course and an extensive variety from all the major wine areas of Australia-you will definitely find that special wine for an afternoon drink or with your evening meal. Don’t worry if you do not wish to cook – over the road Lipscombe Larder has gourmet meals, nibblies as well as normal grocery lines and an excellent range of Tasmanian and International produce. We also live on the premises – so if you have a problem or a particular need, we are happy to assist you. We aim to make your stay with us special, and hope we will see you whenever you are in Hobart, for business or pleasure.
